Taiwan Girls Easy?

This has been an age long question. Well it is obvious that many foreign men on Taiwan are here for undeserved handouts but instead discussing a pretty obvious topic lets move onto Taiwanese girls and ask the questions "Do Taiwanese girls like foreign men of western descent without even taking into account of personality and white skin?"

First and foremost I believe that it is all dependent on the situation and where you go. Taiwan is an Island of over 20 million people and to make a generalization such as all girls here will go for White men/ABCs or they all stick to local guys is a pretty superficial view of a situation. I realized something about my experimentations on tealit.com or other places the fact is people in Taiwan are still human beings and it's just like back home in America. If you want a girlfriend that is stable you will need to be confident and sure of yourself. If you do not act like this then you will receive nothing but loneliness and be reduced to the art of masturbation.

Confidence is not the key it's also about respecting an individual too. Many Taiwanese girls I talk to have often complained that many foreign men and ABCs do not show them respect. They simply say ridiculous things like "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" or "Hey lets come to my apartment and have fun". So we can also rule out the possibility that Taiwanese women are idiots that cannot see through a person's bad intentions and evident social awkwardness and ineptitude. In fact many are often furious at foreigner attitudes of arrogance in Taiwan but are often reticent to express their feelings in a direct way.

Fact of the matter is if you are a loser that couldn't get a date from a mentally decent human being back in your home country you mostly will not get it abroad or anywhere else either.

Employee rights= nonexistant and Idiocy

This is the second part of a two entry debut. Overall I want to look at one issue in Taiwan. That is the lack of employee rights. As a "foreigner" teaching English I'm not subjected to the typical Taiwan philosophy of "You will be treated like garbage work long hours and get ridiculously low pay" working credence.

Now this story begins with my girlfriend's sister. Who has been exposed to sexual harassment at work. The person she works for is making gross advances towards her. So logically she decided to quit her job. However her father yells at her saying she must fix the problem. Now this is a ignorant statement because everyone knows a work environment with sexual harassment is not mentally healthy and it could even be transformed into something that is potentially dangerous.

However this is only the tip of the iceberg. When she told her boyfriend of her decision to quit and explained the situation to him...HE TOO YELLED AT HER and told her to "fix the problem". OK how ridiculous is this. Common sense says if your girlfriend is being sexually harassed at the office place you do not tell her to fix it. If my girlfriend had that situation I honestly would walk into the office find whoever said those things and savagely beat the person up. Any upstanding man would do it. It just confuses me on how a boyfriend would tell his girlfriend to continue working at a harmful work environment. The sad thing is a lot of men on the island(NOT ALL so don't spam my comments with hate) behave in this manner where they absolutely don't support their significant other. I may not be a full Asian in terms culture but common sense says if your girlfriend is facing sexual harassment the last thing you should do is tell her to "suck it up".

Peculiar Racism in Taiwan

First and foremost this is my first entry. My background information is I am an ABC(American Born Chinese) in Taiwan. Taiwan has been my home for a little over a year now. There is one thing i noticed about racism in Taiwan. It is quite different from American racism. However, that isn't necessarily a good thing. Racism from Americans is just flat out vitriolic hatred. Taiwan's racism has this inferiority complex towards the west.

It's just straight out xenophilic I mean have had problems getting teaching English jobs because i did not have the look for it. This is completely ridiculous because one I graduated from a top tier school in the United States where I studied history and political science unlike your atypical BS Computer Science or Engineering Asian. Based on look alone I would be passed over an imbecile that has questionable credentials. These grounds are absolutely ridiculous and it really does bother me a lot when I hear "Oh I don't want a chinese person teaching my kids" First of all you are Chinese and it is such a disgrace seeing people having no self appreciation for themselves.

The funniest thing is many Taiwanese are obsessed with western brands and western culture. Food, partying, and materialism yet they neglect the most vital one. FREE AND CRITICAL THINKING ABILITIES.
